Middle School

Big change, but even bigger potential!

Middle school is a time of enormous change as your child really begins to come into their own as they cultivate their emerging gifts and interests. He discovers what he is passionate about and what some of his God-given gifts may be. She starts to understand who she is and what she should stand for.

A more challenging curriculum will help you prepare them for all that is ahead while encouraging them to become more involved with their classmates. Their middle school experience extends beyond the classroom with student-led chapels, community service projects, and competitive academic, fine arts, and athletics programs.

Excellence with a biblical worldview

Each middle school class is grounded in a thoroughly Biblical worldview, equipping students to understand God’s Word, share it with others, and defend their faith. Classroom instruction and activities are designed to prepare middle school students for a successful transition to upper school.

Guided growth

During one of the most formative periods of a child’s life, our teachers will guide, nurture, and encourage your student in both their walk with the Lord and their daily  lives. Throughout their time in middle school, students will develop strong academic habits, learn to navigate changing schedules, and manage assignments and long-term projects - all in a supportive environment where teachers invest in students' individual growth.

Friends and more

Our unique “park system” encourages teamwork, camaraderie, fosters a spirit of competition, and provides positive reinforcement that is age-appropriate for middle school students.

Trip to Nashville

The eighth grade trip to Nashville trip is one of the highlights of the year for middle schoolers. Students visit the Hermitage, watch a live session of the state senate, and tour the Tennessee State Capitol. During the visit, our eighth graders participate in a mock senate session led by the lieutenant governor - presenting, debating, and voting on bills that they have prepared in their history class! This is an exciting opportunity for our students to learn how they can become informed citizens and find ways to be involved in their state and local government.
