FAVOR with GOD

"The end of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents by regaining to know God aright, and out of that knowledge to love him, to imitate him, to be like him."

John Milton

The unending pursuit of Christ

A vibrant relationship with Christ is the foundation of a true education. The Christian life is more than a Bible class. We believe that everything in life begins with God and our relationship to Him.

Every faculty and staff member has a personal relationship with Christ. It is from our own walk with God that we seek to win and disciple our students to become faithful and joyful followers of Jesus Christ.

In addition to the programs and classes available, spiritual growth at Temple Academy involves the classroom, the playing field, and the hallways. The Christian life is the unending pursuit of Jesus Christ. He alone gives everything else in life its true purpose.

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."

Luke 2:52

Spiritual growth @ Temple

At Temple Academy, spiritual growth extends beyond the classroom into every aspect of campus life. Through chapel services, retreats, Bible clubs, and conferences, we provide intentional opportunities for students to deepen their relationship with Christ and grow in biblical understanding.

Chapel

Weekly chapel services are opportunities for our students to gather together for a time of worship and Bible teaching. Separate age-appropriate chapel services are held each Tuesday for each school.

The goal in chapel is to equip students with the anchor of biblical truth so that they continue to grow in their faith. Scripture teaches us to not merely hear the Word but to obey and live the Word. Our chapels focus on challenging students to think biblically on all issues.

All-Academy chapel is a time to gather for corporate worship and Bible preaching. This time together has a considerable influence on our overall culture and sets us apart. We make it a priority to gather for All-Academy chapel several times throughout the year. Parents are always welcome to attend All-Academy chapels.

Retreat

Middle school students kick off the year by participating in a day retreat at Mount Moriah Camp. This is an exciting time that intentionally prepares students for the year ahead. The goal for this retreat is that students make friends and determine to grow in their walk with the Lord as we set the theme for the school year.

Upper school students begin the school year by traveling to Athens, Tennessee for a two-day retreat at Camp Fairview. This retreat is an essential opportunity for students to connect with each other and their teachers. During the retreat, our students develop community and begin to exercise leadership, as they prepare for the coming year.

Teens for Christ Bible Club

Academy middle and upper school students can choose to be a part of our TFC Bible club which meets weekly before the school day begins. They will be challenged and strengthened in their faith in the Word of God as the only sure foundation for life.

Conferences

Our students are exposed to conferences throughout the school year through our parent ministry, Temple Baptist Church. They will hear biblical teaching on their responsibility in evangelizing the lost, biblical manhood and womanhood, and other vital issues.

The Local Church

We require our students to faithfully attend a Bible-believing church along with their family.

a Christ-Centered Experience

Rather than relegating our Christian faith to a corner of the curriculum, we believe that every part of our students' lives – whether academics, athletics, arts, or activities must be immersed in the faith. This way, our students will leave Temple Academy with a sense of awe and wonder as they see God at work in every corner of their lives.
