Intensity without worship

This phrase summarizes our philosophy of athletics and competition. The Lordship of Christ extends into every area of a believer's life. We believe this philosophy is consistent with the character and purposes of God.

Each member of the coaching staff has a personal testimony of saving faith in Christ and is committed to following Christ in their speech and actions. Our goal as coaches is that the student-athletes for whom we are accountable may trust Christ and grow in wisdom and knowledge of Him because of their relationship to us.

  • Our coaches are passionate followers of Christ and competitors. They are committed to building an atmosphere anchored in Christlike character, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Our coaches personalize their coaching and mentoring, so that your child can grow in both mental strength and physical skill.
  • Our coaches build their practices on physical discipline and skill development, preparing our student-athletes to compete at the best of their abilities.
  • Our coaches seek to provide your child with the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition while building lasting memories with teammates.

Our student-athletes are taught the biblical concept of success. While winning an athletic contest is the object of planning and preparation for both coaches and athletes, it is not the sole measure of success. Loyalty, servanthood, respect for authority, faithfulness, and determination must also be criteria by which we measure true success.

Doing our best for the glory of God is far more important than being the best. The Scriptures instructs us that whatever we seek to do, we are to do it with all our heart and for our Lord Himself.

Upper school teams compete against other schools in the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools, the Southern Christian Athletic Association, and the National Christian School Athletic Association.
