FAVOR with MAN

"Let us not fool ourselves without Christianity, without Christian education, without the principles of Christ inculcated into young life, we are simply rearing pagans."

Peter Marshall

Building Christ-centered relationships

We believe that the relationships our students build with others must be those defined by Scripture, not our constantly changing society.

Because the family as ordained by God is of the utmost importance, we encourage and instruct our students in how to build biblically based relationships in their homes. However, students must also learn about proper relationships with others outside their homes. In a world of deteriorating social values where peer pressure is so strong in its influence toward evil, we strive to provide an atmosphere for Christ-honoring social development.

Christlikeness is produced by a life of sacrificial service as well as instruction, that’s why we involve students in Christian ministry, such as personal evangelism, mission trips, prayer groups, Bible clubs, service projects, etc.

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."

Luke 2:52

Student life @ Temple

Our mission is to equip our students to pursue biblical truth, strive for comprehensive excellence, and model godly leadership so that they will powerfully influence their homes, churches, and communities for Christ. That mission drives every activity, event, and organization.

Student council

Student Council is responsible for Spirit Week and Homecoming, as well as many other events throughout the year, including lunch time special events, faculty vs. student contests, and more. Each spring, elections are held for Upper School class representatives (two per grade) and an executive team consisting of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Student Council is a great place to build relationships, serve classmates, and make a difference in our school.

Honor society

Honor Society is an achievement-service organization for our upper school students. It functions to encourage a life of outstanding Christian character; promote the ideals of service and leadership; reward meritorious achievement; and to assist our students to continue their education at Christian colleges and universities across America.

Spring formal

Each spring, our upper school student body will gather at a gorgeous setting, dressed in their absolute best, share an amazing gourmet dinner, honor the outgoing senior class, and welcome the rising senior class.  It is always an unforgettable night.

Community service

Because our mission as an authentic Christian school is to promote Christlikeness in the lives of our students, both the Academy and Temple Baptist Church provide practical ministry opportunities throughout the year to encourage students to be involved in the greater Knoxville community and serve others as a means of sharing the gospel.

A Christ-Centered Experience

Rather than relegating our Christian faith to a corner of the curriculum, we believe that every part of our students' lives – whether academics, athletics, arts, or activities must be immersed in the truth of God's eternal Word. This way, our students will leave Temple Academy with a sense of awe as they see God at work in every corner of their lives.
