Temple Academy

We exist to assist Christian parents by equipping students to pursue biblical truth, strive for comprehensive excellence, and model godly leadership.

Yesterday was a busy day for our 10th graders as they began their sophomore trip! They explored the Civil War Museum in Appomattox, Virginia and the Appomattox Courthouse, and ended the evening with dinner in Williamsburg at Food for Thought
Last week, our 2nd grade went to the Lost Sea Adventure in Sweetwater, Tennessee after learning about caves and reading about a class going spelunking. What a great hands-on experience for our students, and a unique opportunity to see an unusual part of God’s creation!
3rd Grade’s Annual Circus Day was an absolute blast! They played circus themed games and won prizes- all while learning! We are so grateful for our teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun!
✨💜Alumni Spotlight💜✨

We are pleased to spotlight another member of our Crusader family, Mrs. Kimberly Hawkins, Class of 2009! Kimberly is married and has one son. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and is currently embracing the roles of both mother and author. She recently celebrated an exciting milestone with the publication of her first book, “Home: Returning to Rest through a 23 Week Walk Through Psalm 23.”

Through her writing, Kimberly is sharing her heart for returning to the rest and peace found in the Lord. We are excited to see how God continues to use her gifts and experiences to encourage others!

When reflecting on her time at Temple Academy, Kimberly shared how being a junior varsity and varsity cheerleader with Chelle Hickman and Debbie McConnon helped her find her voice. What began as an opportunity to grow in confidence has become a lifelong joy of encouraging and cheering others on.

Kimberly also enjoyed Bible quizzing and Bible memory, which remain meaningful to her today. She shared that Mrs. Fox made her feel like one of her own daughters, and she still affectionately calls her “Mama Fox!” She also loved her Home Economics class with Mrs. Turner, where she learned practical skills she has since been able to use to serve her own family.

When reflecting on her experience at the Academy, Kimberly expressed how thankful she is for the many lessons, relationships, and opportunities that shaped her life. We are grateful for the teachers who invested in Kimberly and for the ways she continues to encourage others and serve her family.

We are so proud of Kimberly and excited to celebrate this new chapter in her journey as an author. We are thankful to have her as part of our Crusader family!
