Temple Academy has earned K-12 accreditation through Cognia, the successor to SACS CASI. In addition, We are also an accredited Category 4 school and member of the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools (TACS). Temple is a recognized member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS).
We are recognized by the TN Dept. of Education as a Category 2 School. In addition, each of our faculty has demonstrated scholastic achievement and many possess a degree beyond their bachelor’s. All classroom teachers possess certification through TACS.

Uniforms are required to be worn by all students. Uniforms can be ordered through A+Uniforms (myaplusuniforms.com) (Find the Academy under “Find My School”). A detailed description of our uniform policy is available upon request.
The Academy offers a variety of fine arts instruction. Opportunities such as choirs, ensembles and small choral groups, and band are available from lower school through upper school.
Private lessons in voice, piano, brass, strings, and woodwinds are available through our partnership with Crown Music Conservatory.
A full range of interscholastic sports for both boys and girls at the middle and high school levels is available in the Academy. Girls sports include volleyball, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and golf. Boys sports include soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf.
In addition, students in grades 2-5 have the opportunity to participate in intramural soccer, volleyball and basketball.
Yes, our campus is a secure environment. All exterior doors are locked throughout the school day. Security cameras are mounted at entry doors and throughout the building, including the playground. Entry of visitors is strictly controlled by the school office.
Students in K5 through 11th grade take the Iowa Assessment and Cognitive Abilities Test during the spring semester. The Iowa Test provides valuable feedback to both parents and teachers regarding each student’s progress.
Students in 11th grade take the PSAT test in the fall semester and are encouraged to take the ACT and SAT beginning in the fall.
Applications are taken throughout the year and transfer students may be accepted during the semester. Class size and availability may be a determining factor. Matching a high school student’s schedule may be challenging. All transfer situations are evaluated by the administration.
Before school care is available starting at 7 a.m. There is currently no charge for this service. After-school care is available from 3:15 through 5:30 p.m. at an hourly rate. Information regarding after-school care costs is available upon request.
At this time, the Academy does not have the staff or facilities to accommodate students with severe physical handicaps, severe learning or social difficulties, are emotionally disturbed, or who have a history of disruptive behavior.
At this time, we do not provide bus transportation; however, some parents carpool with those in their particular area.
Because the Academy uses a rolling admissions process, there is no deadline to apply as long as there is space available in the desired class.
