Financial Assistance

Dedicated teachers

“I attended Temple Academy from kindergarten through high school graduation in 2008. I believe, to a great degree, I was prepared to complete one of the most prestigious engineering programs in the country because of the dedication of my teachers at Temple. I am grateful for the effort, time, and prayer that the faculty invested in me while I was at the Academy.”

Preparation for my future

“At Temple, our teachers worked hard to prepare us for what lay ahead. Many of the classes I took while at the Academy were as rigorous as those I later took in college, so I already had a basic understanding of subject matter and was better able to handle college-level academics.”

Grateful for influence

As alumni, my wife and I are both grateful for the influence Temple Academy has had on our lives. I have watched two brothers, three sisters-in-law, and now my own daughter grow up and graduate under the influence of the same school. The Lord truly blessed our family when He led us to Temple.

Bible-based curriculum

“I am grateful for the eternal investment my parents made to send me and my sisters to Temple Academy.  The influence of my teachers and emphasis of a Bible-based curriculum brought me to an awareness of God’s presence and my personal accountability to Him.”

Shared faith

“I have the opportunity to work with outstanding students and faculty in the College of Education at Lipscomb University. I can share my passion for teaching and learning – focusing on more than academics. While at Temple, our teachers went out of their way to assist students in their learning and shared their faith with us. I will always be grateful to them and want to model their examples with my graduate students.”

Prepared me for life

“Each of my teachers were a great blessing to me. The Lord truly worked in my life during the years I spent as an Academy student. I believe that I was prepared to do all that God has for me.”

Guidelines

Temple Academy has limited funds available for financial aid, yet it is our desire to make a Christ-centered, academically excellent education available to as many families as possible each school year. Financial aid is awarded based on demonstrated need and is assessed through an independent third-party program, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

The principles below are followed in the financial aid process:

  • Financial aid is awarded on a demonstrated need, first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Financial aid awards will not be granted until your child has been accepted as a student by Temple Academy.
  • The financial aid process is totally confidential.
  • Financial aid awards will be made without regard to race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin.
  • Awards must be renewed each year based on current financial need, by the school board using the FACTS recommendation, as well as student scholarship and behavior evaluation data.
  • Financial Aid applications for the upcoming school year must be submitted (including all required documents) by returning families no later than May 15 to receive consideration.
  • A campus tour, interview, application for enrollment, and acceptance must be completed before a family can apply for financial aid.
  • The pro-rated remainder of a grant may be suspended or withdrawn if a student fails to maintain a passing grade point average or consistently engages in disobedient or disruptive behavior.
  • The Academy desires to help all families but is not obligated to extend a financial aid grant to any family.
  • Financial aid is offered on a year-by-year basis and must be applied for each year.

When to Apply

Prospective families should apply for financial assistance when they apply for admission. Current families may apply for financial assistance beginning on January 1. The deadline to apply for current families is May 15.

The following items must be submitted to FACTS to complete the application process:

  • Copies of your two most recent Federal tax forms including supporting tax schedules (Schedule 1, Schedule 3).
  • Dependent statement if claiming more than 4 dependents.
  • Copies of your most recent W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
  • Copies of supporting documentation for household nontaxable income.

You may begin the FACTS financial assistance application process and submit the above items once your Federal tax returns are completed.

Financial aid awards will be communicated to families in writing and by secure email by July 1.
